Captain Ron, Owner and operator of South Florida Boat Charter, LLC is an experienced Captain and Angler with a passion for the water. He has years of experience from MA. to Florida out to the Bahamas in fishing, cruising and delivery. Whether out fishing or onboard for any offered trips you are sure to have a great time, lots of fun and laughs.
FIRST MATE CHRIS MICKEY
First Mate Chris Mickey, born and raised in Wilmington, NC grew up fishing with his father from a young child until a tragic accident that left his father lost at sea in 2005. Chris then began his career as a commercial fisherman long lining for Swordfish and as he grew in the industry he fished on various boats in multiple fisheries from Grouper to Bluefin Tuna.
Chris moved to Florida in 2000 on the west coast where he fished a commercial stone cab operation before moving to Boca Raton where he began his charter fishing career. This is where Chris felt most at home and able to put the knowledge he attained from his 34 years in the industry and desire to teach others what he knew.
You name an Atlantic fish and I bet Chris MicKey has caught one. South Florida Boat Charter and Don’t Panic Fishing Team is proud to have such a talented and personable individual with us.
